Andy McDaniels
Andy McDaniels grew up hunting and fishing with his grandfather in the most diverse state in the United States He has continued to carry on those traditions of hunting, fishing and camping, across the nation with his wife and four sons. Immersed in conservation activism at an early age, his grandfather started the Oklahoma Outdoor Council in 1950 which became the Oklahoma Wildlife Federation. In 2002, Andy accepted the position of Executive Director of the Oklahoma Wildlife Federation. As director, he unified diverse interests on various national and state conservation issues including the Wetlands Conservation, Farm Bill, State Wildlife Grants, and public-private land issues. His effort on behalf of conservation and his outreach to hunters, anglers, congressional members, political groups, and citizen action organizations has been monumental. These efforts would later garner him the esteemed Charlie Shaw Conservation Partnership Award from the National Wildlife Federation in May 2008. He currently serves as the Sportsmen’s Outreach Coordinator for the National Wildlife Federations Vanishing Paradise Campaign, working with hunters, anglers, outdoor media and the hunting and fishing industry throughout the United States.
