Going Too Far: Outdoor Pranks

To alleviate boredom, stir up a ruckus, or out of competition people play pranks on each other while camping or hunting. Pranks can be harmless like squirting a little bit of water subtly or can be fatal like a man who shot his son-in-law who was impersonating a boar on a hunt. Where should the line for harmless pranking be drawn and how much does stupidity factor in to a prank-gone-wrong?

What are some of your best and worst prank stories? Let’s strike up a campfire, exchange experiences and think of something good.

Besides a few people pretending to be ghosts at camp when I was younger, I don’t think I’ve experienced many pranks. Perhaps I was never around the proper crowd. I can imagine young, rowdy boys get involved in many more plots.

Now at my age (early 20s), when we’re camping people aren’t big on pranks. The outdoors is a serious and serene place and those that experience it are pretty calm people (at least in my crowd). But maybe my experiences have been too low-key… I should think of a good (harmless) prank for my next outing… ;) Help me out here!
