Video: Do-it-Yourself Lure That Only Costs a Penny

The inspiration for this lure came from an economically-motivated political move. Back in March of 2012, Canada announced that the country will no longer produce pennies because the cost to make them is greater than the value of the coin. So that got Captain Quinn thinking, “what to do with all these pennies?” Not wanting to waste them, he took a shiny, clean penny and punched two holes in it and bent it slightly with pliers. The outcome is a surprisingly effective lure.
