To enjoy a quick, different and delicious bread to serve with fish or wild game, try this recipe.
- 1 loaf French bread
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 1/2-cup mayonnaise, preferably Hellmann’s
- Garlic powder to taste
- 1 small can ripe, pitted olives, drained and chopped
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1/2-piound mozzarella cheese, shredded
Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and open. Mix butter, mayonnaise and garlic powder in a bowl. Spread on bread halves. Sprinkle olives, green onions, and mozzarella cheese over mayonnaise mixture. Bake on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees for approximately 15 minutes or until cheese melts.
