Job Details
- Partner with Merchant team in product concept, development, and fit/styling.
- Complete new item project sheets, take cuttings, detailed photographs, and build style shells in PLM
- Work with Merchant and Designers in development of initial CAD’s or prototypes
- Provide initial review of CAD’s and submitted prototype samples to ensure compliance with initial concepts and any additional Merchant provided direction
- -Note any styling alterations to initial proto samples desired by Merchants and communicate desired changes to vendors
- Ensure vendors have completed the Bill of Materials for all items under development to ensure appropriate cost
- Responsible for reviewing all fabrics, trims, labeling, styling, and quality approvals and communicating approvals or revised direction to the vendor
- Training vendors, Merchants, and other applicable teams in PLM processes along with creating help guides to supplement the training experience
- Responsible for distributing tech packs to multiple vendors for costing purposes
Education and Experience
- Four year college degree in Textile& Apparel Management, or Fashion Merchandising is required. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. 2-3 years experience in apparel manufacturing or apparel design is required.
