Diving off Cat Island in the Bahamas, shark expert Jim Abernethy was busy filming a majestic blue marlin as part of a Guy Harvey Expedition. He was so entranced that he didn’t see a 10-foot, 600-pound mako shark until it was just a few feet away from him trying to catch its 15 minutes of fame on camera. Abernethy of course reacts as any unprotected diver surrounded by nothing but blue water would, by screaming and shouting and sending up a flood of bubbles to the surface.
