Conservation Group to Host fun Hunt in Levering, Michigan

The Al Litzenburger Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will host its 8th Annual Fun Hunt on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Wycamp Lake Shooting Preserve, Levering, MI, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (rain or shine).

According to Dave Lloyd the entry fee is $50 per dog (two dog limits) and all entries must be received by Sept. 4th. The event is limited to the first 32 registrants and competitors must be RGS members to participate. (Membership applications available on site). Two birds will be released for each brace, and all dogs must be void of electronic training devices.

Lunch will be available for a $5 donation.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 4 placements, earning a spot in the RGS Michigan “Gun Dog of the Year Trial”.

Proceeds from this event will be used to restore and protect grouse and woodcock habitat.
