Video: Conservation Officer Frees Elk from Soccer Net

Elk seem to love soccer, at least when they’re not using a trampoline. Last Friday, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife officer Bruce Richards was called in to handle a rather bizarre incident. A young elk had gotten itself trapped in a soccer net, proving that it was obviously not cut out for playing goalkeeper. The video was taken near Rock Creck Elementary School in Maple Valley. The elk was eventually cut loose from the net, at which point it wandered off.

Perhaps it’ll take up basketball instead.
