Video: Giraffe Kicks Lion to Death after Pride Kills Calf

Nature is an unforgiving place, and sometimes even apex predators can find themselves overcome by their erstwhile prey. The video below appears to show just such a situation.

The recording beings after a lion pride has apparently taken down a giraffe calf. Several members of the group can be seen feasting on the kill. Some distance away, however, a shocking scene is unfolding: an adult giraffe is kicking an apparently dead lion. Presumably the giraffe calf belonged to the adult, who somehow managed to get a leg up on one of the attacking cats. The giraffe is later chased off by another lion.
