Video: Shark Enters a Diver’s Cage

This video shows us that shark cages are not always shark-proof.

Discovery channel released this video of a shark swimming into a diver’s cage as a teaser for Shark Week, which starts July 5. Dr Micheal Domeier, the shark researcher featured in the video, explained that since sharks can’t swim backwards, their response to getting stuck is kicking their tail harder.

In this case, that movement forced the shark further into the cage. Luckily for the diver, the shark was too large to fit all the way inside.
