Browning Introduces Full Line of Ammunition

Browning has finally decided to throw its hat back into the ammo-making business. The 137-year-old company announced recently that it will be introducing a full line of ammunition for hunting, personal defense, and target shooting.

“The development of Browning Ammunition will provide millions of men and women, including new shooters and hunters across the world, with ‘The Best There Is,'” Browning stated in a press release.

Production of the ammunition line is made possible through a partnership with Winchester, a well-established gun and ammo maker in its own right.

“An alliance with Browning allows us to drive strategic ammunition products deep into the hunting and shooting sports categories,” said Brett Flaugher, vice president of sales, marketing and strategy for Winchester. “This is a significant milestone in the history books of both companies.”

Browning president and CEO Travis Hall called the company’s entry into ammunition production a “tremendous opportunity” for the company and one that will build on Browning’s already formidable reputation.

“Browning Ammunition builds upon the legacy and heritage of our brand while introducing innovative products that will carry the iconic Buckmark symbol,” Hall said.

So far Browning has teased a diverse variety of ammunition, including 12 gauge, .380 Auto, .270 Winchester, rimfire ammunition, .30-06 Springfield, and more. The line is scheduled to be released in 2016.
