Catching Monster First-Ice Bass Turns Man into Little Kid Again

It’s funny what catching a trophy first-ice largemouth bass will do to a grown man. This guy’s reaction is priceless.

From the look of it, the ice is relatively thin, about 4 inches thick. You can see he’s wearing ice picks around his neck for safety, and even though he’s not wearing a personal flotation device (life jacket), you should!

His voice changes pitch, and he starts jumping up and down like a little kid. (Thankfully the ice held him!) Can you really blame him though? That’s a sweet looking bass to pull through the ice.

Before you hit the ice, make sure to read OutdoorHubs Find Ice First article to maximize your success this season.
