5th Annual Las Vegas Boy Scout Sporting Clays and Smith & Wesson Steel Challenge

The Las Vegas Area Council of the B.S.A is proud to announce that the 5th Annual Las Vegas Boy Scout Sporting Clays and Smith & Wesson Steel Challenge is set for this weekend Friday, April 20th and Saturday, April 21st.

The event will kick-off at a reception and auction Friday evening, April 20 at Land rover Las Vegas – 5255 W. Sahara, Las Vegas. Land Rover Las Vegas and Putter’s Gaming is hosting the event. Smith and Wesson and other contributors have donated over $50,000 fire arms, vacations, hunting trips and unique items to the auction which will be presented by Eric Nelson, Nelson Auctioneering of Las Vegas, NV. Public is welcome

Saturday, April 21st the fun begins at Pro Gun Club at 8:00 am. Registered participants will compete in sporting clays, the Smith and Wesson Steel Challenge and other shooting sports. Las Vegas Metro SWAT will host the first Metro SWAT Pro-Am with 3 teams of SWAT members and civilian shooters; pistols shooting, sniper rifle, grenade launcher and tactical shot gun will test the marksmen’s skills. Putters Gaming will provide the outdoorsmen’s lunch.

Event Chairman Bruce Rowe of Bally Technologies has participated in all of the Boy Scout Sporting Clays fundraisers and has helped bring new programs including a chance to shoot class 3 machine guns. Bruce is pleased to announce that the event will raise in excess of $100,000 to support programs for boys.
