JACKSON –The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is offering Mississippi hunters and anglers the chance to win a Lifetime Sportsman License—up to $1,000 value—for only $5.

Beginning August 5, participants may enter a drawing for a chance to win a Resident Lifetime License sponsored by the Foundation for Mississippi Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. Entries are just $5 and may be purchased anywhere hunting and fishing licenses are sold, online at mdwfp.com, or by calling 1-800-5GO-HUNT.

The drawing will be held on Dec. 15, 2012. Entries must be purchased by Dec. 14, 2012. Participants may purchase an unlimited number of entries and the winner will be notified via email.

Proceeds from the drawing will help fund MDWFP conservation efforts.

The Resident Lifetime License includes Sportsman, WMA User Permit, and Saltwater privileges.  The winner will not be exempt from the State Waterfowl Stamp privilege.

This would figure they are going to do everything possible to get every dime out of sportsmen in this state. In the past if you buy a sportsmans license you were intered in the contest & now you have to pay extra to inter. This is just like the fact you have to pay a high price to buy a permit to carry a weapon in this state which is already clearly a right under the AMERICAN Constitution. Just another way to screw the AMERICAN PEOPLE of MISSISSIPPI.
