Project Alaska Brings Edge-of-Your Seat Hunts This Tuesday Night

The food is gone, the moral is low and the Keefer brothers are getting desperate to fill their stomachs. Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, is proud to deliver adrenaline-pumping hunting in Dropped: Project Alaska presented by Realtree. Chris and Casey Keefer’s patience finally pays dividends on day two at “Prayer Point.” After watching their meat supply dwindle to nothing, the brothers’ fortunes turn in a blink of an eye.  Not far from camp, Casey spots a bull moose and Chris gets into position and makes the most of his opportunity. You can watch the back and forth drama of Dropped: Project Alaska on Tuesday, February 21 at 9 p.m. EST.

Shorty after Chris tags the “giant” bull with his rifle from 100 yards; a second moose appears as Casey gets into position. As if it were scripted, the bull and Casey have a stand off from the river’s edge at 5 yards, before he let’s the bull walk. Badly in need of sustenance, the brothers track their first bull down river and share in the excitement as it measures over 63 inches.

“This was the perfect storm of events at the most perfect time,” said Chris Keefer, Co-Host of Dropped: Project Alaska. “Casey and I ran out of meat and really wanted some energy. We were glassing and calling for days and hoping for a moose to walk into our range. When the time came to harvest that giant bull, it was like winning the “food lottery!”  The excitement of seeing and harvesting an animal certainly took on a new meaning when we saw that bull go down.”
