Do you have what it takes to survive the apocalypse? Then Spike TV wants you!

Nuclear war, terrorism, pole shifting, killer comets and tsunamis all have the potential to create national and worldwide disaster. Some even think the Mayan Calendar predicts the end of the world on December 21, 2012.

If you think you have the skills and determination to be one of the last people on earth — and to rebuild the earth with a community of true survivors — then SPIKE TV wants you to compete on their new show “Last Family on Earth.”

On this exciting new show, you will compete in a series of thrilling challenges for a chance to win a prized spot in a state-of-the-art, community underground shelter for you AND your immediate family in case a worldwide emergency ever strikes. Vivos Shelters (www.terravivos.com) will give the winner ownership shares in one of their Luxury Shelters for up to 6 immediate family members.

Producers are looking for outgoing and competitive PAIRS of immediate family members (husband and wife, father and son, siblings….) to represent their family household on this show.

Apply today!

Send an email to LastFamilyCasting@gmail.com with the following:

  1. Your name and the name of at least one family member to be your teammate
  2. Both of your phone numbers
  3. Both of your locations (same household/neighborhood preferred)
  4. Recent photos of each of you
  5. A brief explanation of why you want to win this show AND what skills you can offer a community of survivors

The threat to humanity and thousands of species we share the planet with is none of the things mentioned. Terrorism and tsunamis are no threat at all to a habitable planet — they are local problems. On the other hand, we have probably already passed the global warming tipping point and have only a tumultuous century or two left. Moving underground will not help. Learn to grow food. Live near water.

I believe we have risen from the cave and been thrown back several times now, this is not the first time man has advanced, discovery’s in each advancement have been different.
We can survive so long as there are habitual spots left and people there to survive, Cannibalism has been traced by genes to all living today (Google prion protein gene), at some point in our past we ate people. Man can get pretty down and dirty when the situation calls for it, culture and cultivation can erode, basic survival skills become absolute, taking what another has to survive was practiced in this world less then 200 years ago and probably more resent if you looked at Africa and a few other troubled places today, Animals too have survived and adjusted to climate, we have been loosing species since the beginning, others take there place, the Mastodon of America is one example. Left to breed many animals soon overpopulate areas, the elk in Yellowstone, the bear and cougar in Oregon when a no dog hunting ban was put in to law. Genghis Khan told of his mother raising him as a child on rat meat as that was all they could gather. He brought her the finest meats and foods after his conquests begin pouring in bounty’s from those he conquered!
With the right survival skills, being able to grow food, to hunt, to know what you can eat in the area that grows wild, how to find drinkable water, how to make undrinkable water safe to drink, how to find protective shelter and defend it from those who come to take. know how to defend your self and form alliances with others for protection, barter, build, and repair, Produce that which you need, fuel, medical, Herbal ( this was medical until 100 years ago) and the ability to cold bloodily kill any that threaten you or your possessions, knowing when to run and counter attack. What bare provisions to take when put on the run and how to survive with them and take the attack back to where you can survive, either praying on some one weaker or those that attacked you in the first place.
Yes man can survive thing is what will the survivors become and how bad will it be, what of technology will remain after to rebuild or will be be chipping stone for edged weapons and hunting equipment? No memory but legends of a fabled civilization with glowing lights and vehicle’s that traveled ribbons across the country at great speeds, of man flying in great machines and even the unbelievable of man walking on the moon. Of great population centers with building that rose high into the sky. Of a land that had freedom and would not fight to keep it from dictators who sold them our, how they set and watched all that had been paid for in blood by there ancestors be allowed to be taken from them and those that were allowed to join and were not killed by those then ruling them were but slaves. a worthless paper handed to them for there endorser’s and labor.

Scholars have determined that the December 21, 2012 is not really the end of the world according to the calendar. I don’t remember all the details, but that figure is not what was predicted at least by the Mayans.
