TenPoint Releases New Stealth SS Crossbow

New for 2013, TenPoint Crossbow Technologies’ Stealth SS crossbow pairs the company’s popular, streamlined XLT bow assembly with their new FSB, bullpup-style stock and tactical barrel assembly to create a shorter, lighter, and more powerful version of their award winning Stealth XLT model.

The key component to the new Stealth is TenPoint’s new stock assembly featuring their new FSB (Functionally Superior Bullpup) stock and a new black anodized, 19.5-inch tactical, aluminum fluted barrel, fitted with a 4-inch bullpup version of the company’s patented PowerTouch trigger. The FSB stock uses strategically placed cutouts or ports to reduce weight and improve balance, and its ergonomic design is configured with optimal comb-height and length of pull. Its embedded barrel employs rubber inserts and dual-purpose rubber safety wings to further reduce noise and vibration. The primary function of the wings, however, is to help keep the shooter’s fore-grip hand safely below the flight deck (patent pending).

Like TenPoint’s other XLT models, the Stealth SS’s bow assembly measures a streamlined 13.5-inches from axle-to-axle when cocked. Its machined riser is fitted with11-inch IsoTaper Limbs, MRX cams, D-75 string and cables, and a detachable, lightweight, coated aluminum foot stirrup.

The combined assemblies produce an ultra-compact 185-pound draw-weight model that shoots a 420-grain Pro Elite arrow 334 fps. With the new FSB stock and barrel configuration, the Stealth SS measures just 34.4-inches long and weighs only 6.8-pounds, making it the most compact crossbow TenPoint has ever produced.

“We continue to listen to our customers as we introduce new crossbows to the market place,” said TenPoint CEO, Rick Bednar. “The Stealth SS is another of our responses to the demand for more compact, lightweight and quiet crossbows that deliver top-of-the line performance. It’s also proof of the old adage, ‘good things come in small packages’.”

Like all TenPoint models, the Stealth SS also features TenPoint’s patented DFI (dry-fire-inhibitor) and a bullpup version of their 3.5-pound patented PowerTouch trigger.

Equipped with the ACUdraw or ACUdraw 50, TenPoint’s patented cocking units, and the 3x Pro-View 2 scope, the Stealth SS is double-dip fluid imaged in the Mossy Oak Infinity camo pattern.

The model sells only as a complete package that includes three, 420-grain Pro Elite carbon arrows with New Omni Nocks, quiver and Side-Mount Quiver Bracket.

Stealth SS MAP: $1199 with ACUdraw, $1099 with ACUdraw 50.

TenPoint is 100% USA owned and operated. All TenPoint crossbows are made in Mogadore, OH.

I did purchase the new stealth ss model a coulple of weeks ago,I am happy with the new design, the cross bow shoots well..I was not happy when the string broke on my 1st day of shooting. I was also dissapointed when told by customer service to ship it back for a repair and they would ship it back. Customer service said it sounded like operator error with a dry fire from probably not sliding bolt all the way back or from using flat nocks..The string on the 2nd cross bow was not the same,my guess would be a bad batch of strings. I am glad Cabelas stands by their sales better than 10 piont stands by their products. Cabelas did trade it out for a new one for me no questions asked ! but I would purchase or recomend 10 point again.Still waiting for the e mail response .
