Video: World-Record Free Dive 101 Meters Down World’s Deepest Blue Hole

Imagine what 101 meters (331 feet) looks like. Picture the entire length of a football field, including the end zones. Now add another football field to your sight and flip the image vertically and see it completely underwater. Would you go so far as to imagine yourself free-diving (no external breathing device or scuba gear) down that hole, let alone getting 100 meters down?

For William Trubridge, this was a record to beat in just one breath. In this hair-raising video directed by Matthew Brown and written and produced by William Trubridge himself, see an attempt to relay those moments not caught on camera, but actually lived by the person defying the record. Hectometer – World Record is a visual poem of Trubridge’s dive 101 meters below the surface at Dean’s Blue Hole in the Bahamas that took place on December 16, 2010.
