Reed Snyder and Anthony Hardy host the newest episode of the AR-15 Podcast, covering upgrades. Any discussion of upgrades must include discussion of the proper tools and accessories for any new or aspiring armorer on the AR platform. The tip of the week segues right into that topic, and covers vises. Do you need one? What kind should it be?

The duo begins with with the Smith & Wesson 15OR (Optics Read) as a baseline to discuss some of the fundamental AR platform upgrades. The rifle is a common rifle from a known manufacturer so the discussion begins from the context of a baseline, stock rifle right off the wall.

Reed and Anthony make some suggestions to give first time, and new builders some options ranging from low, middle, to higher grade equipment to fit a spectrum of budgets. Some of the manufacturers and gear that make the cut for discussion include: BCM Carry Handle, MAGPUL furniture, and Geissele triggers. Tune in to hear what else is worth investigating for your upgrade needs.

The episode also addresses intended uses when considering upgrades. Should you go with MILSPEC products, or competition style upgrades? As always, the guys have as some great listener feedback.
