Frank Grzeszczak and Barbara Stork Landeweer named 2011 IYC Yacht and Charter Brokers

International Yacht Collection (IYC) is pleased to announce that Frank Grzeszczak and Barbara Stork Landeweer are the company’s  2011 Yacht and Charter Brokers of Year respectively. In a yacht sales and chartering year that was tepid for many global firms, IYC increased market share over 2010, enjoying its best year since its inception and making the Sales Broker and Charter Broker of the Year designation all that more remarkable.

Having built an extraordinary 25-year career in yacht sales—both pre-owned and new construction—Frank Grzeszczak has been with IYC since 2007. His criterion for success has always been based on three fundamental principles; knowledge of product, honesty and integrity. More, his strong work ethic blends reliability, diligence and professionalism with an understanding that team work encompasses both client service and respect for one’s fellows in industry. This has garnered Frank great esteem with his clients and his worldwide network of yacht brokers.

A native of North Carolina, Frank spent his formative years on and around yachts. Frank had the insight to realize that true success in life comes to those who do what they love; therefore, after graduating from Elon University in North Carolina, Frank felt it was only natural to combine his college business degree with his passion: yachting. He then moved to Florida where he’s lived since.

Barbara Stork Landeweer’s remarkable career as a charter agent includes seven years at The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals; establishing and managing the Charter Division at Allied Richard Bertram for 10 years; and, spending four years at Fraser Yachts. More, in 2000, she obtained her Yacht Salesperson’s license in order to offer her charter clients who wanted to move to yacht ownership another level of expertise.

Barbara’s 2011 success includes organizing charter vacations on such highly esteemed yachts as the 220′ (67m) Lürssen Apoise; 194’ (59.4m) Baglietto, Vicky; the 164’ (49.99m) Trinity, Wheels; the 147’ (45m) Feadship, Helix; the 113’ (34.57m) Hargrave, Sea Legend; and, the 85’ (25.91m) Pacific Mariner, Seas the Moment, among others.

To support her quest to provide the best luxury vacation charter experience possible, Barbara travels extensively each year and attends major annual charter shows including Genoa, Antigua, Newport and Greece.  She and her husband spend time aboard their boat cruising the Bahamas and Florida.  As his love of fishing and exploring has rubbed off on her over the years, she has a fishing pole in her hands whenever possible!

“I congratulate Frank and Barbara on their exceptional performance during 2011,” says Bob Saxon, IYC President. “As our industry gains momentum following the difficult economic climate from 2007-2011, and regains front-of-mind market share with UHNWIs, IYC’s success rests squarely on the shoulders of outstanding sales and charter executives like them, our Yacht and Charter Brokers of the Year.”
