Experience the NSSF Rimfire Challenge at Shooting Industry Masters’ ‘Side Match’

The National Shooting Sports Foundation invites participants at this week’s Shooting Industry Masters to stop by the NSSF Rimfire Challenge “side match” to experience first-hand why shooters of all skill levels are having so much fun in this national program.

The NSSF Rimfire Challenge, formerly the Ruger Rimfire Challenge, is designed to introduce shooters to competition using steel targets in a comfortable, supportive and affordable format.

At the Shooting Industry Masters, the NSSF Rimfire Challenge side match will enjoy the support of three generous industry sponsors: Action Target, Tactical Solutions and Volquartsen Custom.

Action Target, which is supplying the steel targets for the Masters’ side match, also helps make possible the NSSF Rimfire Challenge Steel Target Grant Program to assist ranges in acquiring the targets necessary to host Rimfire Challenge events.

Adding to the fun and excitement of shooting the side match will be the top-notch firearms being made available to participants-rifles by Tactical Solutions and pistols by Volqaurtsen Custom.

Additionally, Tactical Solutions is donating an X-Ring .22 LR rifle as the prize in the NSSF Rimfire Challenge side match raffle drawing. Featuring the ambidextrous Vantage RS stock, the Tactical Solutions X-Ring rifle also comes equipped with the new Nightforce 4-14 x 56 SHV scope. This rifle-and-scope combination, which retails for about $2,500, will go to the winner of the random drawing on Saturday evening at the awards banquet. Each participant who completes a stage in the side match receives a ticket for the drawing, so the more you shoot the better your chances of winning the Tactical Solutions X-Ring rifle. Another way to better your chances is by purchasing additional raffle tickets leading up to the drawing on Saturday night.

Volquartsen Custom is donating a Scorpion Lightweight Target Pistol to the Masters GunBroker.com Auction. The pistol features a nickel-boron finish on the LLV Barrel/Compensator and a matte black 1911-style target alloy frame with Hogue grips and competition bolt. The 4.5-inch barrel length is designed for speed and accuracy, and a C-More Railway with an 8 MOA dot completes the build. Bids for the Scorpion Lightweight Target Pistol can be placed at GunBroker.com.

“We’re excited to add the NSSF Rimfire Challenge to the Shooting Industry Masters’ lineup of side matches,” said Zach Snow, who as NSSF’s Manager of Shooting Promotions oversees the NSSF Rimfire Challenge program. “Side matches are among the most anticipated and fun Masters events. We look forward to having shooters of all ability levels enjoy the Rimfire Challenge and encourage them to have their local range host Rimfire Challenge events.”
