Tune in to Watch a World Record Breaking Tournament

Over 75 million homes will be able to watch this year’s Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC) when it airs on NBC Sports Network on June 21 and 22, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. EST. TTBC was held in Quitman, TX May 9 – 11th on historic Lake Fork. The tournament also featured three day days of country music and a BBQ Cook-Off Championship where thousands came out to watch bass fishing history be made.

“Being able to air on NBC Sports Network is a great showcase for the world’s top anglers,” Tournament Director Lenny Francoeur said. “Sharing TTBC with such a large number of people is exciting, and it provides Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s conservation and education efforts with a broader audience. Fans will get to see a world record-breaking performance from two-time winner and defending TTBC Champion Keith Combs of Huntington, Texas.”

Combs broke the tour-level world record this year with 110 pounds following three days of competition. The previous record for a 5-bass-limit was set in 2000 at Clear Lake, California by Byron Velvick with 83 pounds, 5 ounces. Tune in to catch Combs’ and the world’s top anglers battle with the bass of Lake Fork.

As the broadcast partner of TTBC, NBC Sports Network will air the championship in an hour-long broadcast. The debut will air on June 21, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. EST and will re-air on June 22, 2014 at 12:00pm EST.
