Today’s product is the 125 grain 4 blade Magnus BuzzCut Broadhead out of Great Bend Kansas.
Product Description:
The BuzzCut is a cut on contact, chisel point, stainless steel broadhead that has a serrated blade and comes in 85,100 and 125 grain sizes. Also, this broadhead comes as a two or four blade model. Today’s model that I am reviewing is the 125 grain 4 blade.
Thoughts and Comments:
Ouch….the first thing you will notice is these broadheads are shaving sharp right out of the pack and the serrated edge sure make these things look wicked. As with all the Stinger broadheads, the blades are replaceable or can be sharpened, and I have always liked the cut on contact design. The chisel point is a great addition to keep the tip from curling on impact with hard bone. Stainless steel blades and being made in America are also a plus.
The people at Magnus claim that these broadheads will fly as well, or better, than any mechanical head. Guess what…I put them to the test and they were right!!!! These heads fly perfectly from my bow out to the sixty yards I have room to shoot them. They group like field tips and I wrecked an arrow on the first round…..impressive!!!! Also, the penetration is spectacular!!!
After hunting with these broadheads for a full season they performed flawlessly and blew through multiple deer and provided short trailing jobs to our quarry. Penetration on animals and bone was spectacular and none of the animals even knew anything had happened. These broadheads are now my equipment of choice. - If you are one of those bowhunters that need to shoot the newest and most advertised broadhead design on the market, then maybe this is not the broadhead for you.
