The 2011/12 waterfowl season found The Birdmen television team in many different and challenging situations. When tackling the tough conditions that are synonymous with waterfowl hunting you need everything to come together for a successful hunt. Spending 60 plus days in the field during a season puts any bit of gear to the ultimate test.
This season while filming we tested many new products coming out for the next season, but one in particular came out on top: Webley & Scott! This long-time firearms manufacturer from Europe has introduced their line of over/under shotguns to the US market and we couldn’t be happier. We are very particular about our shotguns and have shot many different brands. As this season drew to a close we had extensively tested the 12 and 20 gauge models in all different sizes as well as a soon-to-be-released youth model 20 gauge with zero problems. If you love to hunt birds with over/under shotguns like we do, check out the new Webley & Scott Model 900.
The quality of the Webley & Scott shotguns are everything you would expect from one of Europe's oldest gun manufacturer, precise machining, beautiful woodwork and great balance.
Reliability of your shotgun is possibly the most important aspect when hunting birds. When you have a greenhead back peddling at 15 yards and your gun malfunctions, it will ruin your hunt. Through all of the abuse our Webley & Scott shotguns endured we had zero malfunctions of any kind.
Webley and Scott Model 900s are on the shelf for around $1,200 making them a low to mid-range price point for an over/under. The balance and over all shoot-ability of this gun makes for an unmatched value for the average consumer.
The Birdmen team is referring these shotguns to anyone who loves to shoot. The balance and reliability of these guns make them great for hunters as well as the trap enthusiast.
