Muzzy Travels to “Cajun Country” for Treestand Gator Hunt – Friday on Sportsman Channel

It’s not often you see bowhunting for alligators from a treestand, but that is exactly what John Musacchia Jr. will do in this episode of Muzzy Bad to the Bone Bowhunting TV on Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American sportsman. The crew from Muzzy travels to the Louisiana bayou to bowhunt gators that will make audiences drop their jaws.  The nerve-racking excitement begins Friday, July 27at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The weather is hot and sultry, however; the gators are plentiful on the waterways and Musacchia is ramped-up to get in his treestand and begin. Day one provides several chances only to see the gators elude the long bowshots. After watching how the locals hunt gators, Musacchia went back for another attempt – only this time, he bowhunts from the boat. The change of location proves wise as he connects on three gators, including a “monster”, 12-footer that gives the men all they can handle.

“Bowhunting alligator from a treestand is much harder than I thought,” said John Musacchia, Co-host of Muzzy Bad to the Bone Bowhunting TV. “I have a new found respect for hunters in the bayou who hunt gators. The feeling of hunting from the boat is just as exhilarating and I would recommend to anyone interested.”

This gator hunt would not be complete without sampling the harvest! Musacchia entrusts the help of a local chef to grill-up fresh alligator skewers.  After mixing the most flavorful ingredients, the skewers turn out to be delicious.
