R. Lee Ermey’s Problematic Guns at the Range
OutdoorHub Reporters 03.15.12
Even an expert marksman with a lifelong history of military service and gun handling like R. Lee Ermey is sometimes at the mercy of the machine. Especially when said machines are vintage pieces dating further back than World War I.
While filming Mail Call, Ermey, often referred to as “Gunny”, put a few old and vintage models to the test on his personal range. As you’ll see in the video below, some fail to feed, fail to fire or malfunction in one way or another. Ermey shoots a Browning Automatic Rifle, a Lewis Gun, a World War II-era German assault rifle and Japanese machine gun, a blackpowder musket, and more – each with their own unique kind of mishap.
