Last Minute Outdoor Gift Guide

Time may be winding down, but there’s still time to get those last minute gifts ordered and shipped with a great chance of making to you before Christmas. It’s a true statement that the outdoor enthusiast in your home can be the hardest to buy gifts for. Just ask my wife and she’ll tell you that I usually go and get everything I need and want for myself. I can’t help that I like to buy my own sporting goods. It’s the same reason I don’t buy her shoes as gifts, and no, this is not a cliche – she buys a lot of shoes. When I started this gift guide, I started thinking about what I’d like and what would be a great gift idea that would be a little more off the beaten path. In this last minute outdoor gift guide, I’m going with things that any outdoor enthusiast could use and would be thrilled to find under the tree.

1. Costa Sunglasses

Costa Sunglasses

Every outdoor enthusiast needs a good pair of polarized sunglasses. You can up the ante with a pair of truly outstanding sunglasses at a price that is downright amazing. Costa sunglasses are the best polarized sunglasses we’ve tried. The clarity is outstanding as is the comfort level. With this level of awesomeness, which includes 100% UV protection, usually comes a high price tag. I know when I got a pair, I cringed as I handed over my credit card. Now there are some sweet deals that are 50% off or more. Everyone needs a pair.

Pros/Outstanding protection from UV rays
Cons/Pricey if not on sale
Bottom Line/Best polarized sunglasses you can get

2. Kawasaki Mule Oil Change Kit

SALE
Kawasaki Mule Oil Change Kit

This is one of those gift ideas that may seem odd, but is something that will go over very well. If your special someone owns a Kawasaki Mule, which is a GREAT UTV for hunting, fishing and the outdoor lifestyle, you know that he or she will want to keep it running smoothly for a long time. Getting the correct oil and filter can be tricky at times, and if you’re not using the genuine Kawasaki products, it’s a crap-shoot as to whether or not you are using the right stuff. Kawasaki makes it easy and affordable to get the proper oil to keep your Mule running smooth. Compared to some other manufacturer’s oil change kits, these re a steal.

Pros/Everything you need for a proper oil change
Cons/Only available for Kawasaki machines
Bottom Line/If you own a Kawie, get the kit!

When you come home from a fun, but hard day in the field, you get to lay down and snooze on a nice, comfortable bed. Why should your bestest hunting buddy not get the same luxury? Tractor Supply Co. has a smoking deal on  the Orthopedic Sherpa Top Pet Bed. It is made with memory foam and has a removable cover. If you’re like me, your dog isn’t just a pet, but a member of the family. Make sure your pooch gets a nice comfy bed, too.

Pros/Gives your hunting buddy a nice place to sleep
Cons/Hooefully the dog doesn't end up with a better bed than you
Bottom Line/Yu can save over $22 right now!

4. Heated Vest

SALE
Heated Vest

Thanks to a health condition, my wife is always cold. I’ve tried getting her super warm coats and that helps some, but this year, she’s getting one of these Ororo Women’s  7.4-Volt Lithium-Ion Lightweight Heated Vests. There is a sweet deal on these where you save $50! It comes with the battery pack and the charger, too. They have the same deal on men’s vests too, so maybe she’ll get me one. I may have to drop a hint… and a link.

Pros/Keeps you warm when it's cold!
Cons/Keep your battery charged!
Bottom Line/A great deal on a hot product
