How To Make a Colorado Spinner Rig

The famous Colorado spinner is probably one of the most dependable fishing lure rigs. A Colorado spinner with a number 6 hook tipped with a two inch piece of night crawler or cut bait will catch about anything.
Set it up with your tippet line about 16 inches long with the spinner on one end. First add a slip sinker (1/16 to ¼ weight) on the main line and then tie the tippet to a double end barrel swivel on the main line. When you tie the barrel swivel on the main line, the barrel weight simply cannot get past the swivel, allowing the spinner to have more freedom of movement but the weight will get you down to the depth you need to be. You can use the barrel swivel above almost any lure or spinner to get you down deep.

His love for the Ozark whitetail and old tom turkey is still his passion. Ed is quite active in promoting the outdoors and enjoys sharing hunts with others, especially first timers!
