How To Clean a Duck Call With a Dollar

   06.03.11

Duck and goose calls can get dirty over time. We’ve all been there when our duck calls or goose calls fall in the mud, get dipped in the pond, get put in a bag with dusty gear or even called with food in our mouth. Most waterfowl hunters know this simple trick but for new comers to duck hunting and goose hunting use this trick.

A dollar bill is just the right width to slide between your call barrel and call reed. You will have to pull apart your duck or goose call to expose the reed but after that you can gently take a dry dollar bill and slide it between and under the reed(s). This will clean out the dirt and dry out your reed(s). Then you can get back to calling in more ducks.

Next time you hit the duck waters or the goose fields be sure to carry your cash!
