Video: Primitive Technology Found a Way to Make Sweet Potatoes Exciting

Everyone’s favorite silent survivalist is back with a new video.

This time, YouTuber Primitive Technology used his skills to grow a sweet potato patch. To start off, he built a fenced off wattle enclosure to keep the wallabies from eating his crops. Then he planted his sweet potatoes and waited what must have been a few months until he had a full crop of purple sweet potatoes.

After harvesting them, he wasted no part of the plant. Using his own earthenware pot, he boiled the leaves for an extra source of protein. He then roasted the tubers on some hot coals before enjoying a well-earned meal.

To close out the video, he used the ash from his potato roasting fire to fertilize his next crop. It’s those kinds of details that really set Primitive Technology apart.
