OutdoorHub contributor Edwin Evers makes a living catching bass across the country in a wide variety of conditions, and at times that means presenting soft plastics to bass in heavy cover. One trick the Bassmaster Elite Series angler has learned through the years is that snelling a hook results in a higher hooking percentage when he’s flippin’ or punchin’ with soft-plastics in heavy cover.

In this clip (click the Facebook post below), Evers shows his method for snelling a Mustad UltraPoint Grip-Pin Max Hook. Give it a shot this summer and see if it helps you hook more big bass.
