While many anglers in the North are driving trucks, ATVs and snowmobiles on the ice in pursuit of northern pike, walleyes and panfish, those living in warmer regions of the United States never have to store their boats. That said, fishing open water during winter and early spring does require some knowledge when it comes to properly using an outboard.
