SABIC Partners with NWTF to Help Wildlife

EDGEFIELD, S.C. — SABIC Innovative Plastics, a new corporate partner with the National Wild Turkey Federation, will work to improve 6,300 acres of wildlife habitat surrounding their plant in Burkville, Ala.

SABIC Innovative Plastics is a world-class manufacturer of specialized thermoplastics. The Burkville facility has been a long-time member of the Wildlife Habitat Council and a dedicated group of employees serves on a wildlife committee. The committee steers conservation efforts on the property to improve habitat for all wildlife. This partnership with the NWTF serves as another example of SABIC’s commitment to continually improving their conservation efforts.

Through these dynamic partnerships, the NWTF and its members have helped restore wild turkey populations throughout North America, spending more than $331 million to conserve nearly 16 million acres of habitat. Wild turkeys and hundreds of other species of upland wildlife, including quail, deer, grouse, pheasant and songbirds, benefit from this improved habitat.
