Monarch Mania with Lanie Holland, American Girl

There are two upcoming opportunities to take part in Lanie Holland, American Girl’s “Girl of the Year 2010,” book club meetings through the DNR’s Natural Resources Education Center.

Participants will be introduced to live monarch eggs, caterpillars and adult butterflies while learning about the creature’s interesting life cycle, habitat conservation needs, and annual migration to Mexico.

Guests will head outside to look for monarch eggs and caterpillars, and learn how to collect and record monarch data.
