Onos will Market Ernest Hemingway Sunglasses

MOBILE, Ala. – June 30, 2011 – Onos Trading Company announced it will design, produce and market a new line of Polarized Performance Sunglasses branded with the name of one of America’s most important novelists and short story writers who also happened to be one of America’s most famous fishermen – Ernest Hemingway.
Chris Nelson, Onos national sales manager, said styling and product details for the new Ernest Hemingway sunglasses will be unveiled to media July 14 in Las Vegas at ICAST – International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades – in Room N258 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. He said the new Ernest Hemingway sunglasses include models with and without Onos pioneering bifocal magnification system for reading and other close-up tasks in the outdoors.
Nelson said Patrick Hemingway, son of the Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winner, will co-host the press conference on behalf of the Ernest Hemingway Collection and address why Onos was chosen as its sunglasses branding partner.
“Onos is honored to carry forward the reputation of Ernest Hemingway in the marketplace,” said Nelson. “You will see that Ernest Hemingway sunglasses will live up to everything that we remember about the man. Like the man, they are big game fishermen, avid adventurers, and action-seeking world travelers.” Before his death in 1961, Ernest Hemingway wrote numerous short stories and more than 25 novels including The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms, and The Old Man and the Sea.
