Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition Announces Outdoor Retailer Events

July 21, 2011 –Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition (OIWC) is pleased to announce three unique events during the 2011 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market.
On Friday, August 5, Mountain Khakis, in partnership with Z2, invites men and women to boast their bare bum at the Mountain Khakis booth (#36182) and make a suggested minimum donation of $20 to benefit OIWC. A Mountain hardware photographer will shoot contestants’ hindquarters (with or without undergarments) for the best bum contest. Pictures will be posted online and receive votes, and the bum with the most votes get a $150 gift card from Mountain Khakis. In addition, those who donate $20 to OIWC immediately receive a gift card for $75 from Mountain Khakis, redeemable at mountainkhakis.com.
Also on Friday, August 5th, Leisure Trends Group will be sponsoring an invite-only OIWC luncheon involving top level women within the Outdoor Industry. The aim of the Roundtable is to provide executive women with a unique opportunity to have open discussions with an intimate group of women leaders who share similar challenges. In addition to roundtable discussions, Moe Carrick of Momentum, INC will be leading this year’s discussion around Authentic Leadership. The session will also include time to network and make connections with other women in the outdoor industry.
On Saturday, August 6th, OIWC will be partnering with Swarmbuilder and Mountain Hardwear to present a Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, hosted at Pierpont Place. All members are welcome to dine, network and listen in to a brief presentation from OIWC outlining plans for 2012 programs supporting advocacy, education and resources. Registration is only open to OIWC members and space is limited to 75 attendees.
