OutdoorHub 07.27.11
When it comes to designing fast, sweet shooting, hard hitting quality bows Alpine puts it all on the line, even if that bow is for the youngsters. The Alpine RUCKUS is made for the 10 to 16 year old archer but like all Alpine bows, the quality, performance and shootability are there.
The RUCKUS is a no holds barred compound built on a machined riser fitted with a great looking, great feeling 2-piece
Rosewood grip and a pewter finished medallion. The tough Bi-Flex composite limbs lock nicely into the LX Pocket Mounting System and are topped with high performance Radial Force Cams for a smooth draw and hot performance. The axle-to-axle length is 30.75” with a comfortable 6” brace height and a light mass weight of 3 lbs. Draw length goes from 22 to 28” with a 50 lb draw weight at 65% let-off. Two models are available with the hunting version in Mossy Oak’s new Infinity camo pattern and the lady version in a cool looking pink camo so the RUCKUS looks great on the range or in the field.
Bob Proctor, President of Alpine noted, “We take great pride in producing the finest archery equipment available and this also goes for our entire youth line. Our future is our children and to get them to stay in archery mandates that the equipment they use be first class. The RUCKUS is the perfect bow for kids in the 10 to 16 age bracket. It’s good looking, comfortable, easy to shoot and has the performance to keep them at the range or take hunting. Don’t scrimp when it comes to our youth. We didn’t.”
The RUCKUS is available at the low retail cost of only $269.
