| The American Fly Fishing Trade Association has developed a new business seminar for the specialty fly shop at this year’s International Fly Tackle Dealer show in New Orleans. We are excited to announce the opportunity for retailers to attend a comprehensive, full day business seminar that will provide hands on instruction in the art of operating specialty retail fly shop. During the seminar, you have the opportunity to learn and master the fundamental components of how to do business on the internet, competing with the internet, open-to-buy strategies, improving inventory management and productivity, and creating a comfortable store environment amongst many other topics. | The IFTD show is highlighting a Retailer Roundtable discussion on Thursday, August 18 in Room #229 inside the New Orleans Convention Center. All retailers are encouraged to participate in the open forum discussion. It’s a great opportunity to share ideas, network, and discuss the challenges that independent fly shops are facing in this ever changing market. Retailers will have the opportunity to learn the best practices from other successful retail operations for improving internal processes, gaining efficiencies and deploying new technologies. In addition, all retailers that attend will receive a list of participants and an invitation to a private Specialty Fly Shop Group of LinkedIn.
