BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Open Presented by Pepsi to Debut on VERSUS

San Antonio, TX – August 15, 2011 -Coverage continues of the largest collegiate bass fishing events in the nation with action from Paris, Tennessee. Day one coverage of the 2011 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Open presented by Pepsi begins on Sunday, August 21, at 2:00PM EST on VERSUS, part of the NBC Sports Group.
This unique event features a true team format allowing teammates to share information and work together to amass the largest amount of weight possible over two days of competition. The winning team will be determined by the combined weight of each team’s top two boats each day. Daily weigh-ins were held at Paris Landing on the shores of Kentucky Lake.
The BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Series is sanctioned by the Association of Collegiate Anglers and is televised on VERSUS by CarecoTV. The weekly television series showcases the 2011 series of tournaments, including the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Open presented by Pepsi, BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship from Lewsiville, TX and the Big Bass Bash presented by Hydorwave from Florence, AL.
