Illinois DNR Adds Asian Carp to Hunger Program Menu

CHICAGO, IL- The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) will expand its popular ‘Target Hunger Now!’ program by making protein rich Asian carp available to Illinois families.  The Department will demonstrate recipes at a dinner event featuring famed Louisiana Chef Philippe Parola.    ‘Target Hunger Now!’ is a humanitarian effort which provides food banks and other organizations throughout the state with donated venison and now  Asian carp.

Members of the media are invited to arrive at 3:30 CST for a taste test and to see how Chef Philippe Parola prepares the fish.
