WHAT: Boater David Lowery of Milledgeville, Ga., caught a two day total of 10 bass weighing 25 pounds, 6 ounces Sept. 17-18 to win $4,882 plus a $2,000 Ranger Cup bonus in the Walmart BFL Bulldog Division tournament on West Point. He was using buzzbaits and All Terrain Tackle Jigs in rocky areas and in shallow woody spots.

WHAT: Joel Milner of Talbotton, Ga., caught a two day total of seven bass weighing 14 pounds, 12 ounces Sept. 17-18 to win $2,441 in the Co-angler Division. Milner used buzzbaits and other topwater baits as well as crankbaits in backs of pockets to catch his bass.

NOTES: The top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers based on point standings in the Bulldog Division have now qualified for the Oct. 13-15 Regional Championship on Wheeler Lake in Decatur, Ala. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger 198VX with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy pick-up, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
