MGI Launches Rate and Recoil Reducing Buffer Video Response Contest

Old Town, ME – October 11, 2011MGI, the manufacturers of the highly versatile Hydra Modular weapon system, proudly announces the launch of their first large scale contest, “The Bad, The Bold and The MGI Buffer Video Response Contest.” Kicked off through YouTube, Facebook and Twitter on October 3rd, 2011, the contest calls on all fans to submit a video response featuring their gun with an MGI Buffer with D-Ring installed. One lucky winner will receive an MGI Hydra Rifle with a retail value of $1,250. The contest closes December 31st, 2011 at 11:59 pm EST. It is open to all responsible adults over 18 years of age who are legal residents of the 50 United States (excluding, without limitation, The District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and other US territories) that have purchased an MGI Rate and Recoil Reducing Buffer. In order to qualify, entrants must create a video ad for the MGI Rate and Recoil Reducing Buffer with D-Ring. The Buffer may be used in any compatible rifle. The video must not contain profanity, nudity and / or use of illegal substances, cruelty to animals, defamation of property or people of any race, religion or gender. Such videos will immediately be disqualified. The Buffer must be shown on the video and in use in the rifle. The video should be approximately one to three minutes in length and no longer than five minutes. The video should contain the MGI logo and contact information (found on the MGI website). It must be completed and submitted as a video response to the launch video no later than December 31st, 2011 by 11:59pm EST.

Contestants may use their current MGI Buffer for the video or purchase one at www.MGI-Military.com. The MGI Buffers are currently on sale from $165.00 to $145.00 on MGI’s secure online store.

MGI will review all entries and post the Top Ten to its Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MGIMilitary). Contestants, friends, family and fans can vote on the best video between January 1st through 13th, 2012. The video with the most votes will be announced at SHOT Show via the MGI Facebook page on January 19th, 2012 in Las Vegas, NV.

Employees, directors and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings and spouse) or members of households of MGI, its affiliates, dealers and distributors, advertising, design, print production and publicity agencies and anyone connected with the production and distribution of this contest are not eligible to enter or be awarded a prize. The winner will be required to have a valid driver’s license or proof of identification and will be required to complete an ATF Form #4473 and pass a NICS background check at his or her local firearms retailer that holds a valid Federal Firearms License. Failure to comply with each of these requirements will result in a forfeiture of the prize.
