Chad Belding and the Fowl Life are Back in Kansas for More Mallards

October 18, 2011 – Award-winning national television series The Fowl Life with Chad Belding continues on the Sportsman Channel and WILD TV with the team back in Kansas beginning Thursday, October 20, at 2 a.m. EST. Hosted by renowned hunting guru and outdoorsman Chad Belding, the show takes viewers into the lives of Team Fowl Life as they chase waterfowl throughout the United States and Canada. The team goes behind the scenes to call animals such as mallards, puddle and diver ducks, and geese into close range.
Belding and Team Fowl Life are joined once again by Jim Stanford and Adam Gilkey from Central Kansas Outfitters (CKO) who helps put them in the right location for waterfowl.
“There is no question that Central Kansas Outfitters is a first class operation, and we will be back again,” Belding said. “Kansas is a hot spot for waterfowl, and we are fired up that we are able to experience it.”
The team faces a more difficult scenario this week with CKO at a retention pond located on a cattle ranch. The mallards are gathering in this area which allows the team to utilize duck calls and a decoy spread.
Temperatures in Kansas warmed up for this hunt, which proved to be a disadvantage for the team when they attempted to retrieve the ducks from the pond. Ice gave way to water as several members of the team fell into what Belding describes as “water no human should ever touch.”
“Kansas was special all year for Team Fowl Life, and this hunt was no different,” Belding continues. “The kicker was that in order to get these ducks, we had to walk through cow sewer ponds! Nobody in their right mind would consider this, but its duck hunting and it’s what we love to do.”
