The heroes of the European Outdoor Film Tour (E.O.F.T.) 11/12 are a tough bunch. They balance barefoot on a wobbly highline 4,000 metres up in the air, scale an 8,000 metre peak in the grey early morning light and, in preparation for a three-month Arctic expedition, they deliberately set about gaining some extra kilos. They freeze. They feel afraid. They experience moments of joy. And, from 8 October 2011, once again you can experience it all with them. This year’s programme includes more than 150 dates in eight countries. The E.O.F.T. will be bringing a two-hour film programme with selected highlights to a screen near you too. From ski touring, to mountaineering, climbing, mountain biking and freeriding, there is something to suit every taste! True to the motto “Pushing limits, exploring boundaries”, the extreme athletes from the films also have to concede that passion and suffering often go hand in hand when you’re out in nature.
