Deadline for Critter Conservation Commercial Extended for Nebraskans

   04.10.12

The deadline for submitting a commercial to a contest highlighting the Nebraska Wildlife Conservation Fund has been extended.

Participants are encouraged to create an original, creative 30-second commercial, then upload it to a YouTube account. The deadline for entering has been extended to 5 p.m. on May 5.

There are three categories that can be entered: grades 3-6, grades 7-12 and an open category. The best commercial in each of the three categories will be selected by a public vote and will run on major television stations across the state during the 2013 tax season.

Commercials should be designed to raise awareness of the Wildlife Conservation Fund, help people better appreciate Nebraska’s wildlife and encourage people to donate to the fund through their tax rebates or through the fund’s website.

There will be a public voting period at OutdoorNebraska.org. The winner will be announced on May 23.

For more information and contest rules, visit NebraskaWildlifeFund.org or email at kristal.stoner@nebraska.gov or scott.bonertz@nebraska.gov. Visit NebraskaWildlifeFund.org to make a donation.
