Nebraska’s Fort Atkinson SHP to Host Living Historians

The Coalition of Historical Trekkers, a national group of living historians, will hold its annual meeting at Fort Atkinson State Historical Park (SHP) on April 19-22.

The group portrays different periods between 1650 and 1850. The public may tour their camps near the reconstructed old fort. The park grounds will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the visitor center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the meeting. The visitor center now has entrance fees of $2 for adults ages 13 and up, $1 for children ages 3 to 13. A park entry permit is required.
