   04.16.12

Many of the popular south side trails at Lake Pueblo State Park will be closed for the Second Annual VooDoo Fire Mountain Bike Race on Saturday, April 21.

On Saturday, all of the South Shore trails will be closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to the trail closure, the Cottonwood day-use area and half of the overflow parking at the South Ramp will be closed to public access. There will be temporary/intermittent road closures of Juniper Road, from the Arkansas River to South Marina Road, and parts of South Marina road from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. to accommodate the start of the race.

This is the second year for this endurance race that showcases the increasingly popular trails at Lake Pueblo. Approximately 500 riders are expected. For more information about the race, put on by Warriors Cycling, go to www.warriorscycling.com.
