New South Florida Fishing Show

Fishing Florida Radio with BooDreaux, Steve Chapman and Captain Mike Ortego have expanded their live radio show into South Florida on Clear Channels WBZT 1230am every Saturday morning from 7-9am starting April 21st, 2012.

Currently Fishing Florida Radio broadcasts live every Saturday from 6-9am on Florida¹s largest sports station, Clear Channels 740am The Game WYGM.  The Three Amigos host an entertaining and informative show.  Listeners refer to the show format as a Saturday morning zoo about the outdoors in contrast to many local fishing shows that primarily promote a captain and his charter business.  The boys strive to maintain a high level of interviews that keep the show fresh and entertaining while still helping anglers learn more about the outdoors and what¹s new and biting in the area. With on-the-water reports by local guides and recent interviews from Patrick Sebile, Captain Ralph Watkins of NatGeo¹s ŒWicked Tuna¹, Animal Planet¹s Brett and Wayde from the show ŒTanked¹, Discovery Channel¹s ŒSwamp Brothers¹, Hillstrand Brothers from ŒDeadliest Catch¹, Jeremy Wade of ŒRiver Monsters¹ and 2012 Bass Master Champion Chris Lane and many others, Fishing Florida Radio is a show worth listening too.  From authors, television personalities, music stars and a touch of BooDreaux, Steve and Captain Mike and their quick wit and love for the outdoors, the guys look forward to stepping up their game with this huge move into south Florida.

Fishing Florida Radio, once called BooDreaux¹s BoonDocques, started over four years ago when BooDreaux and Steve had competing fishing radio shows on in the Orlando market.  After working out the details, BooDreaux and Steve joined forces and started Fishing Florida Radio. Adding a professional captain was the last piece of the puzzle that the show needed and the Florida Fisherman, Captain Mike Oretgo made the show complete and the three amigos began.  The shows success revolves around outdoor professional personalities coming onto the show and talking like they are old friends and sitting around a campfire.  Nothing is to personal, but learning from others and taking care of our friends and listeners make Fishing Florida Radio a different, appealing, and entertaining show for anyone to listen too, including non-outdoorsmen.

Fishing Florida Radio offers listeners who call and participate ³tackle prize packs² from companies like Costa Del Mar, Culprit/Riptide, Mirrorlure, DOA Lures, TTI Blakemore and Cablz.  With those companies helping Fishing Florida Radio with weekly giveaways, it involves the listeners to participate and become part of the show.  And those listeners continue to listen each week for the whole show and attend the many remotes the Three Amigos do during the year.  And this summer on Fishing Florida Radio¹s Facebook page, they are giving away the ultimate Brothers of the Sun Concert package including tickets, VIP Corona Light Tailgate Party and Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Jake Owen swag like no other.

Giving back to the community is very important and also is a huge part of Fishing Florida Radio.  Last year, with the help of Fish Florida Organization and Sailfish license plate tag, Fishing Florida Radio held it¹s first Kids Fishing Festival with Devereux and gave away 400 rods and reels to children under 16 years old. The Devereux Organization for nearly 100 years has helped people with emotional, behavioral, and developmental disabilities transition lives to bright futures.  Fishing Florida Radio participated in numerous other Hook Kids on Fishing events with Coastal Angler Magazine Orlando and sponsors through out the year.  And the year ended with the first annual Fishing Florida Radio Gumbo CookOff, Gumbopalooza, where 21 teams competed to be Central Florida Gumbo Champion.

Teams cooked their best gumbo, and the public voted on the best and all money went to Give Kids The World and Anglers for Conservation.  With the help of sponsors like Fish on Fire Restaurant, Hells Bay Boatworks, Coastal Angler Magazine Orlando and others, Fishing Florida Radio raised almost

$10,000 for these two fantastic charities.
