Get Your Scream on by Entering Now to Win a Dream Trip with Chris Lane
OutdoorHub 05.15.12
What word would you shout if you won a fishing trip with Bassmaster pro Chris Lane?
Try “Pow!” That, after all, is what Lane yelled almost every time he boated a big bass as he fished his way to the 2012 Bassmaster Classic crown.
Now add this to that trip with Lane: a Power-Pole Sportsman; $600 in tackle from Luck “E” Strike, Stren, All Star, Snag Proof, and Abu Garcia; $250 in cash; a two-night hotel stay; and airfare to the northern Alabama bass factory of Lake Guntersville, recently tapped by Bassmaster Magazine as one of the Top 3 bass lakes in the country.
“Sweet!” you yelled? That’ll do for starters.
The lucky fan who wins the new Bassmaster.com sweepstakes can scream whatever he or she wants to. But for a chance to win (and hoot and crow and holler), this comes first: enter. Entries are being accepted now through June 30. There’s no cost and no obligation to enter; each participant can enter once a day. The winner will be drawn from all eligible entries.
Lane, who took his Classic trophy fishing the Red River out of Shreveport, La., is just as skilled on Lake Guntersville. It’s the lake he adopted as his home water several years ago when he moved there from his native Florida. He’s looking forward to showing big Guntersville off to the sweepstakes winner.
“The person who fishes with me can expect a number of quality bass, and the opportunity for some really big ones. Not only that, they can soak up the beauty of the lake and of the town of Guntersville,” Lane said.
Lake Guntersville, a huge impoundment in the mountains of northeastern Alabama, was recently named the No. 3 bass lake in the nation by Bassmaster Magazine. The magazine conducted an extensive survey of experts to compile the list of the country’s 100 best stops for bass anglers in 2012.
One reason Guntersville was rated so highly is because it offers quantity and quality. At 70,000 acres, there are always plenty of spots to try, said Lane.
And expect constant and sometimes explosive action. “I hope we go in the fall because that’s my favorite time to fish,” Lane said. “You can throw a Snag Proof Frog and have a blast.”
No matter what the skill level of the angler, he or she can count on a top outdoors experience, Lane pointed out. And the winner can receive some instruction, if needed, to get the most out of a day on the water with the Classic champ in his one-of-a-kind Power-Pole boat.
