On Tuesday, May 27, at 7 p.m., the new series “Pedal America” starts in Austin, Texas.  Ira David visits a bicycle zoo, the Lance Armstrong Bikeway and a bicycle parade.

On May 27 at 7:30 p.m., the 10th season of “VPT’s Outdoor Journal” continues.  Steve Martin of Waterbury, Vt., and his dog Riley search the Northeast Kingdom woods for antlers shed by moose.  Like looking for a needle in a haystack, searching for antlers has become a hobby for some and a business for others.  At the 2011 Vermont Big Game Trophy Club banquet, awards are given for records in deer, moose, black bear and turkey.

Also, a visit to the Topsham part of the nearly 2,300-acre Pine Mountain Wildlife Management Area, with Vermont Fish and Wildlife biologist John Buck.  This WMA is the only one that covers two counties, Caledonia and Orange.

On Thursday, May 31, at 7 p.m., “Okie Noodling II” chronicles the evolution of the sport of bare-handed catfishing in Oklahoma over the last decade.
